Xenlusan Dex Beikoku

Xen is generally friendly and wants to be helpful when he can be. He's not nearly as outgoing as Twisted Xen, but he's not one to dismiss people. Xen is more gentle when he can be, but does have hard lines and boundaries he won't let others cross. He's quite easy to reason with otherwise.

Hunger - Xen will do his best to manage his hunger by eating smaller amounts more frequently. He hides his hunger as best he can, and will not ask others for help.

Violins - When Xen hears the sound of a violin being played and he's not doing anything else, he stops everything else will just sit and listen until the music stops or he can no longer hear it.

Research - Xen often spends a lot of his later life reading. He loves learning new things and hearing other people's perspectives on histories he's lived through.

Xenlusan can heal from most injuries quickly. The more he needs to heal, the hungrier he gets. The more well-fed he is, the faster he heals. Xen must feed on meat and/or blood in order to help trigger his healing. Plant-based foods don't seem to make a difference.

Headshots - Injuries to the head heal just fine. However, even a normal strike to the back of the head will cause Xen to forget his more recent memories. There is a perpetual hole in the back of his head that never heals. Brain destruction like that caused from bullets doesn't worsen this amnesia either.

Wings - While it seems Xen's wings heal just fine, Xen seems to treat the point of connection to his back with great care, as if they don't. Holding the wings at the base causes him to freeze up.

Insta-kills - Any physical damage to the heart will immediately cause Xen to die. When he does die, after about a day, whatever's left of his heart will becomes a dragon egg, and the rest of his body left out will disappear. Decapitation inflicted with direct contact (no tools or weapons used) will also kill Xen. His skull will remain, never to decay or break down of its own accord.

Xen is Vampire Dragon. In his human form, he's comparable to a vampire. He has a higher senses overall. He has the tendency to use his keen sense of smell to find things at greater distances.

Xenlusan can shift into a dragon at will, but doesn't do so often. The knife he carries and uses is his tail-blade. Xen's dragon form is basically fireproof, and has a greater defense against cutting and piercing. His fangs, claws, and tail-blade become sharper when he's well fed, and dull when he goes hungry for longer periods of time.

Xen has an ability unique to him among his kind, in that, he can alter the appearance of his human form. He can shapeshift only the aspects that remain in a human shape. It's this power that is the reason he could take Zen's physical appearance as his own.

When Xen is killed via damage to his heart, his soul lingers around. The egg that forms from his heart has the potential to be reborn as him if specific conditions are met. These conditions are 1) The egg must be bloodied, and 2) it must be named "Dex". If these conditions are not met, Xen's soul moves on, and the egg is hatched as its own entity.

Due to Xen's connection with SP, and SP's previous connection to Winter, Xen can access some of Winter's abilities such as creating portals, and transforming objects.

The egg born to the dragon and the vampire was cold. The dragon mother had died in childbirth/egg laying. So, the father took the egg, and began to slaughter as many people and creatures as he could, using their souls to bring the egg back to life. His soul was the last to be added before the egg was warmed.

Those of great spiritual power sensed the greatness in the egg. Whatever came of it would be dangerous, so they tossed it into a chasm, sending it to another world.

The egg landed in a world of other dragons, so when the egg did hatch, the child adapted to this world. It wasn't perfect, but it was passable.

The hatchling had to adjust the the dragon world it was born in. It landed in the Vampire Dragon sector of the world. Vampire Dragons are a cannibalistic breed. The hatchling was a runt that had to scavenge. Being a runt worked to his advantage though. The Dragon World has a rule that children are not to be killed. Due to his stunted growth, he was mistaken as a child and not killed for food by the larger, stronger dragons. During his time scrounging around for leftovers and dodging fights, the little dragon happened upon another orphan. The pair decided to live and work together to increase their chances of survival.

Adoption - At a point, while testing their powers, a couple of residents of the Dream Castle accidentally open a portal to the Dragon World, causing the unnamed runt to fall through to this other world. Unable to calm the startled dragon, they just lock it in a closet for a while. Eventually, Winter freed the dragon. Assuming the smaller dragon was a child, Winter took it upon himself to start taking care of and teaching the dragon. Winter adopts and names the two dragons: Dex and Ruby. Winter adopts another dragon as a brother, Zachary. The group of adoptive siblings later get adopted by Kari Beikoku, which gives them the family name of Beikoku

Xenlusan - There's an ongoing conflict at the Castle between Alyssa and Shikoku. Winter started on Shikoku's side, but defected to Alyssa's side after a while. Winter did what he could to keep his siblings out of the fight, but Dex really wanted to help Winter, without worrying Winter. He couldn't fully figure out how that would work until he came across Xenlusan. Zenrusan was dying, but with his last moments alive, he told Dex that the small dragon was allowed to use his form and name after he died. Dex could now disguise himself as Xen, and join the fight. But rather than fighting directly, he decided to be a spy on the other side as "Bale's Xen". After some time living this double life, he also collects SP and gains some of Winter's powers through it.

One day, Dex was testing out his new powers, and accidentally fell into The Silver World. He caused a problem, and, in trying to fix it, he got tangled up in that world's plot. Due to his greater magical power, as compared to the residents, he became a hero of storts. He wanted to do the most good he could, however, by his very nature, he was still a carnivore. Trying to separate himself from what he was caused a mental split. This split was greatly exacerbated by dark magic, which created Dark Xen. This world is where Xen considers home, and is generally the point in time where Light Xen is pulled from to be used.

Later in Xen's life within The Silver World, he had a dream/battle in the center of the mind against his own suppressed darkness, represented by a warped version of his brother, Dezayne. It's during this fight that Dezayne gives him the head injury that persists when they are pulled through the portal that Natasha opened. Dezayne that goes with Xen through to the other world is actually a representation/projection that's not accurate to the Real Dezayne. And all of what Twisted Xen does, is only a dream to Light Xen (and Dark Xen). This becomes more horrific for Xen when he later comes across evidence that at least one version of these nightmares actually happened.

Winter/Dezayne - Winter is the oldest of the batch of siblings. Dex looks up to Winter a lot, and models his heroism after how he sees Winter.

Arturo - Arturo and Aruto are twins. Arturo’s the older twin, bitter about not being chosen to hold Angelo’s violin. He doesn't particularly care about getting new siblings.

Aruto - Aruto is calmer than his slightly older twin. He’s happy with his life at the moment, and was thrilled that Kari found other people that she could love and trust.

Zachary - Zachary is the current leader of the Vampire Dragons. After Dezayne was too successful at being lord, he handed the crown and skull to Zachary. He does his best to make his family proud, not that he’d admit it.

Kari - Kari is an explorer of sorts, a girl of her own mind. She’s the one who visited the Castle, and came across Cz and the others. Kari is the one who named him Winter. It’s because of Kari that they were adopted.

Ruby - Ruby is mute, or at least selectively mute. She and her brother, Dex, were taught some sign language and writing by Winter. She’s happy to have such a big family now.

Sandra - Sandra married Aileo, and had Kari, Aruto and Arturo. She later adopted Winter and his siblings into the family. She's probably a little thrown off by how independent her new children are, so she really babies Ruby more often.

Aileo II - While hearing whispers of his grandfather’s hate, he did his best to ignore it. He’s happy with what he has. He does his best to be a loving and caring father to all his children equally.

Nira - Nira is the first person in The Silver World to not treat him differently because of his Vampiric Elements. After some growing closer across the story of The Silver Princess, Nira and Xen become a couple. Nira does eventually die after a long happy life with Xen.

Esil - After Xen's new revival, he is placed in the care of Esil. Xen regrows alongside Esil. They're extremely close friends. The love is familial. While the rest of the world reveres Xen for being a dragon, Esil doesn't treat Xen with too much veneration. Xen likely finds this to be a relief.
